Eugenia plant, also known as Magenta Cherry native in Australia, but very common here in South Africa. It is evergreen and a perfect option for potting or planting in formal gardens (indoors or outdoors). New leaves are a reddish and change to green when aging. It can grow as high as you need or keep it low by regular trimming.
It is popular for ball and lollipop shapes in the garden. It also ideal for hedges.
Location: sensitive to extreme cold and frost, but will grow almost anywhere.
