Clivia Miniata

Price R35 – R45

Clivia Miniata is a low maintenance evergreen perennial that forms a neat clump of strappy leaves. Its orange or yellow flowers are long-lasting and signal the end of winter here in RSA.

Clivia tolerates moderate frost, but if it badly affected, it quickly recovers in summer. Plants will benefit from being split every 4-5 years when they become crowded and should be divided after flowering.

After the flowering season, Clivia gives beautiful, bright red berries which if left to ripen release seeds. It takes about 4 years for seed-grown plants to mature into flowering plant.

Location: Whilst in other countries Clivias are grown as indoor plants, in RSA they are grown under shades and need very less maintenance. In winter, plants should be watered once a month.

Our plants are sold to retail nurseries, property developers, landscapers and home owners in the following areas: Centurion, Pretoria East, Pretoria North, Midrand, Hartebeesport and Krugersdorp
