About Us

Elias Gardens  is the  culmination of a shared vision of Enos and Sinah Sikhauli  to not only develop a growers’ nursery, but  making quality plants more readily available so that they can contribute to a ecological future and through appreciation of South African flora.

The owners Enos and his wife Sinah Sikhauli grew up in the rural areas of Limpopo and North West provinces. Enos had enjoyed crop farming in Venda from his father Elias who ensured that when farming crops, rare indigenous trees were protected, celebrated and used as relaxing spaces during farming. On the other side, Sinah had spent her childhood looking after the garden of her uncle Kgajike, but was fascinated by the fauna and flora of Borakalalo Game Reserve in Brits which borders her village of Fafung. Her deep love of various aloe species and big tree still drives her to continuously visit some of her memorable sites to collect seeds for propagation.

Enos and Sinah purposefully picked a small farm in Laezonia to share their love of ornamental plants through an open air grower’s nursery.  The primary focus of Elias Gardens are retail nursery, property developers and landscapers. Unlike most growers, the owners of Elias Gardens always want to share their knowledge and experience of plants with homeowners. Over and above that, the nursery is open to homeowners to give them opportunity to enjoy the magnificent views of contoured landscapes of Laezonia, a beautiful smallholding area of Centurion.
